Traceful helps you research people from accessible web pages. This notice describes the data used by the service and how to contact us about it.
What a search uses
The name and optional details you enter help find and distinguish web pages. Submit only information needed for your research. Do not include private credentials, government identifiers, or sensitive personal records.
What is stored
Traceful stores your account details, password hash, verification and session records, subscription access, research reports, saved reports and conversations in its server database. Research records belong to the account that created them. The browser keeps a session cookie and your display-theme preference; it does not hold an offline account or password database. Guest examples are temporary demonstrations.
Service providers
Searches are sent to Brave Search. When AI features are configured, selected source material and your questions are sent to OpenAI to prepare sourced reports and answers. Account messages use our email provider, and payments are handled by Stripe. Card details are entered in the payment provider’s checkout. These providers process the information needed to deliver their services; their own terms and privacy notices also apply. Providers may process data outside your country.
Operational records and access
We keep search allowance records, provider usage, payment-event references and security records to operate the service, prevent abuse and troubleshoot failures. Staff tools require administrator access. Privacy requests are stored for staff review, and changes to their review status are logged. The service does not publish your research history or notify the person named in a search.
Your records
You can manage saved reports and request account deletion in settings. Contact support@traceful.app about access, correction, deletion, or any remaining billing or operational records. Deleting a Traceful report does not delete the original publisher’s page, provider records, or copies you have exported.
Your requests
Request removal or report an inaccuracy. A submitted request is saved for review and receives a reference number. We use the contact details you provide to handle the request. You can also email support@traceful.app. See the terms of use for the product’s intended use.
